Allison R. Webel, Ph.D., RN, FAAN, is Dean of the University of Michigan School of Nursing and a nationally recognized nurse scientist, academic leader, and educator. Previously, Dean Webel served as Associate Dean for Research & Innovation at the University of Washington School of Nursing, where she led research strategy and interdisciplinary collaboration. She has published more than 200 peer-reviewed articles and received funding from the National Institute of Nursing Research, National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute, National Institute on Aging, and the American Heart Association. 
Dr. Webel earned her MSN and Ph.D. from the University of California, San Francisco and holds bachelor’s degrees from The Ohio State University. She is a Fellow of the American Academy of Nursing.
